The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC®) is requesting public comment on the proposed Indexed 3D Scene Layers Community Standard. Indexed 3D Scene Layers (I3S) was submitted by Esri for consideration as an OGC Community Standard. The submission was supported by 13 OGC member organizations.

OGC approves new standard for geological science data

The membership of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC®) has approved GeoSciML as an OGC Standard. The OGC GeoSciML Standard defines a model and encoding for geological features commonly described and portrayed in geological maps, cross sections, geological reports, and databases.

OGC Testbed 12 - Arctic Spatial Data Infrastructure

The OGC Arctic Spatial Data Pilot (Arctic SDP) was initiated to demonstrate the diversity, richness, and value of providing geospatial data using international standards in support of spatial data infrastructures. It will show how international standards help stakeholders to gain new perspectives into social, economic, and environmental issues by providing an online network of resources that improves the sharing, use, and integration of information tied to geographic locations in North America, the Arctic, and around the world.
